Department of Labor

The Department of Labor’s primary mission is to serve and protect America’s workers and prepare them for the demands of tomorrow’s work place.  DOL ensures workers’ rights, inspects work sites, shields workers from employment discrimination, administers unemployment insurance programs, enforces workers’ compensation, wage standards, and sponsors training programs. An internship with DOL could involve accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, law, research, computer science, personnel, engineering, safety, or health and public affairs.
