Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce is known as the nation’s business agency. DOC strengthens America by stimulating the economy and creating jobs.  It also serves as a scientific research agency and promotes the advancement of science and technology. An internship with the Department of Commerce could involve computer science, law, criminal investigation, patent examination, international trade, economics, statistics, geography, demography, marketing, engineering, meteorology, oceanography, biology, urban/rural planning, finance, or communications.
