The Department of Treasury manages federal finances, produces postage stamps, supervises national banks, enforces federal finance and tax laws, investigates and prosecutes tax evaders, counterfeiters, forgers, smugglers, and gun law violators. The Secret Service protects domestic and foreign dignitaries and investigates financial crimes and fraud. An internship with Department of Treasury could involve accounting, computer science, law, telecommunications systems, criminal justice, economics, finance, banking, and business or public administration. (NOTE: Due to a required security clearance, the Secret Service has early application deadlines.)
