Department of Health & Human Services

The Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for the health, welfare, and income security plans, policies and programs of the federal government. Participating agencies include, but are not limited to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA). An internship with DHHS could involve biology, chemistry, public health, finance, public or business administration, or computer science.
