U.S. — Mexico Relations: Challenges for the Next President

Caption below

On February 7, 2008, the Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) sent its interns, Eridani Quiroz and Fernando Avina, to the presentation: "U.S. — Mexico Relations: Challenges for the Next President" given by Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico and hosted by the World Affairs Council of DC.

The event was a great opportunity for the OSBP interns to hear, first hand, Mr. Fox's analysis of the ongoing issues affecting U.S. — Mexico relations. Other topics discussed were the challenges that the new U.S. administration will face while in office and the importance of U.S. immigration, trade, economic and energy policies that have a direct impact on Mexico and lead to ongoing tensions.

The interns had an opportunity to network with over 200 other attendees and to interact with Vicente Fox and his wife Martha Sahagún de Fox.
