LatinaStyle magazine, "a national magazine for the comtemporary Hispanic woman", recognizes Susie Saavedra, former HACU intern and current HACU Alumni Association Chair, in the Latinas Today, In the News section.  The magazine excerpt is provided below:

"Susie Saavedra was promoted to legislative director for Congressman Joe Baca.  As such, she is responsible for overseeing the Congressman's legislative staff, monitor appropriations and legislative processes, providing daily vote recommendations, and managing the Congressmans's Congressional Caucus work and financial services committee assignments" (Vol. 12, No. 5).
