Through HACU Nina was offered an internship with the Federal Aviation Administration Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. Nina supported a senior engineer regarding operational impacts such as requirement identification, equipment configuration, costing, scheduling, and implementation in order to provide a more efficient layout for the Technical Support Facility. In her efforts, she learned more in depth about how the FAA supports the NAS, even learning about some of the communication equipment on airplanes. Some of the changes she has suggested have already been implemented and there are more to come, as the FAA has hired Nina full time.
Nina Diaz Quote ~ I’d like to thank HACU for “opening the doors of opportunity”!
