Meet Armando Benavides, FDA intern Print This   E-mail This
by Armando Benavides

 Armando Benavides

I am a chemistry student from Heritage University in Washington and over Summer 2009 I worked with the Food and Drug Administration doing lab doing research on pathogens E. Coli, Shigella, and Salmonella using a variety of methods.  I also am responsible for working with the data and creating statistical reports.

I have benefited from this internship in many ways. I have gotten the chance to experience a potential future career, accrue skills I need to be successful and make life changing decisions, built up my resume, and acquired skills, contacs, and other resources in this field that will enable me to compete in the science field.  HNIP is a whole new experience and a great way to get out and [explore] what you want to do to for the future.
