There is no doubt that without the experience (professionally/life) I would not have been able to accomplish as much as I have at such a young age, allowing me to become confident in my endeavors.  I have been asked to speak at my university among many other requests, after graduation, and considered a trailblazer  therefore altering the perspectives of Latinos(as) within the school's administration.  Above all, coming this far in life and "making it" in the Chicago financial sector has given my parents and I great satisfaction that their sacrifices as immigrants was well worth every struggle.  I wouldn't have been competitive in the job market in Chicago if it weren't for the internships.
