"I didn’t have to worry about getting to and from where I needed to be, nor did I have to go through all the hassle of apartment hunting. Everything was taken care of for me. Since I spent last semester abroad and had to arrange my own travel and housing, I am very grateful to HACU for taking it upon themselves to help with this vital part of the internship process.  They no doubt saved me a great deal of time and money.

The most positive aspect of being a field intern has been being able to travel to cities that I would normally not get a chance to visit.  Being in Reno for the summer has allowed me to take weekend trips to such beautiful destinations as Lake TahoeLas Vegas,  and San Francisco.   Since I live on the east coast, I don’t get to travel out west as much as I would like.  I’m glad I got this opportunity to see some of the things I’ve been missing out on.

I’ve learned how to juggle more tasks at once and communicate more effectively with co-workers.  I’ve learned to be more patient with people around me and effectively get from point A to point B in a city lacking adequate public transportation.
