"It has been a great experience doing a HACU internship with the Department of the Navy's (DON) Office of Civilian Human Resources. In working with different divisions, including the EEO programs office and the office of Naval Complaints and Administrative Review Division, I have been able to learn about various aspects of the organization and different functions. I have also been exposed to critical human resource issues that the agency must deal with including hispanic under-representation within the federal goverment and the accomodating of employees with disabilities. Doing a HACU internship at the DON has certainly opened my eyes to important issues that one must deal with in the workplace. Overall, it has been a true learning experience invaluable to my career development."
